Brief: To Illustrate abstract creatures

Initially, this series was just going to be simple vector illustrations, but as they started developing, I wanted to give them a backstory. Mainly I got inspired from forms around me, like the jade plant in my balcony, the eyes of my turtle, peanuts, etc. I explored various forms, as shown above, but I only finalised a few which I felt for the strongest.

This jolly garden dweller helps pollinating the flowers and maintaining a healthy environment for all the species resting or living there.

Deliverables

With the personal project, I feel my observational, illustration (physical and vector) skills got better. I also brushed up my motion graphic skills while working on this, I learnt how to prepare after effects compatible files.
